Server update.

Server update.
So I just found out the company I decided to move to doesn't do instant setup.
They tell me my account needs to be approved by a manager before setup is complete.
This is the first company I've ever dealt with that works this way.
It's very inconvenient for me, but hopefully it means the company actually CARES.
Other companies let their servers get full of spammers and such which waste bandwidth and slow things down.
The biggest problem is I will only have at most 12 hours to move EVERYTHING and test it.
I will not be near a computer all day until at least midnight.
Redwood Virtual is shutting off servers at noon.
I don't even know what my IP's are gonna be,
so I can't update DNS until less than 12 hours before it gets shut off.
EF you very much Redwood Virtual!!!

NEW SERVER!!!
My hosting company was kind enough to tell me YESTERDAY that they are going out of business TOMORROW!
I'm in the process of migrating EVERYTHING to a new server at a new location.
I'm getting a different VPS account on a much faster machine with more hard drive space and bandwidth.
As far as I know everything has been going well for my users over the past 5 years with Redwood Virtual.
I have noticed a lot of problems though.
Hopefully all those problems are over with when the migration is complete.
Some services might not come back online right away.
If anyone uses any services that I provide, and you notice they don't come back, please let me know.
I will try to get everything set up the same way it was before.
Obviously IP addresses will change,
so if you access anything by IP please remember to connect to the new one instead of the old one!

Today I was in the mood to do some work.
I made the following changes/updates/upgrades to the site:
- Valid CSS
- Valid XHTML
- ICRA Label
- Modularized some of site
- Amazon.com search box
- Topic should change depending on current page
There's obviously still a lot of work that needs to be done.
Some of the next updates will be:
- Other sections of site
- Make boxes retractable
- Stats
- Polls (maybe)
- Feedback/contact form
- Do something with affiliate box
- Create database for content
- Pull content from database
- Set configurable limit of articles per page
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, lemme know when the feedback form is online.
I should have that up in the next day or so.

What the hell happened to everyone???
Avalon was a total bomb, and not in a good way.
Nobody showed up to the club.
They shut down the entire club before 2am!
That is the first time I've ever heard of them shutting down so early.
Everyone grab a friend or 6 and come down this Sunday night.
"I Have a Dream" has been moved, but most ppl don't know, so they'll come to our party instead.
This week should be crazy as hell, so don't miss out.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Avalon was a great success yet again!
Everyone tell your friends.
Come down and party with us every Sunday night in the chapel room.
The party in the main room died out early again, and they let us stay until almost 4:30.
We had hard beats going all night, and ended it up with some serious hip-hop and raggae.
Our DJ's spin all the hits, from the classics to the new.
I just found out also that we WILL be in Avalon on the 15th. :-)
The party that was supposed to have the entire club got cancelled, so be there or else!

We've only had the chapel room for a few weeks now, and things are getting better every week.
Several people told us that we should have the main room instead of being stuck in the little back room.
If attendance keeps growing we'll outgrow the chapel room in no time.
The main room completely died at least an hour before we were told to shut down so the employees could go home.
We could have had that room jumpin for at LEAST another hour or 2 if they had let us.
Everyone tell your friends to come on down to Avalon each and every Sunday night.
I believe another party has the entire club booked for January 15th, so we might not be there, but come down every other Sunday night.
Party from 10pm until 4am (or later if they let us).
Admission is free before midnight with flyer or on guest list.
$10 after 12.

Must be 18 to party, 21 to drink.

I just grabbed this template and set it up real quick.
I don't know if I'm going to stick with it, or try something else.
It doesn't look too horrible, so unless I get mad complaints I'll prolly continue to use it.

- Generate pages from postgresql database.
- Write statistics program.
- Write polls program.
- Get laid.
- Make pictures section with latest picture pulled from database.
- Make login system, and figure out why ppl would even want to log in anyway.
- Write contact e-mail script.
- Do something with the random affiliate box.
- Make enough money to not starve to death.
- Paypal donate button, not that anyone would want to give me money though.
- Figure out more things that I need to do for site.
